Fifth Grade Mural Project
This was a project done with a local elementary school as a way for the fifth grade class to celebrate their last year in elementary school. As they transition to the middle school, this was something they could do together as a class. The students came up with the design and painted it.

Japan Art Miles
I have had the pleasure of working with a group of third graders in an exchange program with third graders from Japan. As we learned about culture , traditions and everyday life in Japan through these Japanese children, we also created a mural with them. We decided together on a theme - Traditions - and each class came up with a design. The class in Japan painted first, half of a 5 ' by 12' mural and then sent it to us to paint our half. Besides being a fun and exciting way to communicate with students so far away, it was also lots of fun.
