Cusco, Peru   10/2019

Our group worked at a school for special needs children. We learned so much witnessing the compassion and care of the children along with a lot of communication and behavior tips!

They loved the art materials we brought and were eager to express themselves.

Zimbabwe, Africa 12/2014 - 1/2015
Our group worked with children in Zimbabwe, Africa. These children were orphans, their parents victims of violence or the HIV/AIDS virus. We allowed them to be recognized, tell their story and express themselves through art, song and dance.

Port Elizabeth, South Africa  7/2019

We loved spending time with the students at Isaac Booi School and Astra School! We were greeted with love and joy and really enjoyed creating with these little artists. For the after school girls empowerment group "Girls Unite" we taught them a fun dance (that they learned much quicker than us!)

         Chiltiupan, El Salvador 

Chiltiupan is a mountain village located in the municipality of La Libertad, the poorest area of El Salvador. We worked with approximately 150 students ages 5 - 17. The high school students worked with us to create six murals, giving them a sense of ownership while leaving a mark to remember our time together. We visited extreme rural areas around Chiltiupan where we were received with warmth,  joy and an invitation to visit no matter how humble the surroundings.

CRYP Eagle Butte, South Dakota   7/2016  - 7/2017 -  7/2021

The Cheyenne River Youth Project provides youth and family services to the families of the Cheyenne River reservation. While there, we helped wherever needed, including preparing for the annual Red Can Project. I have gone out there twice and hope to return again!
